The required cable is most often called a Laplink Parallel Port Cable. Cables that do NOT work go by the names: Null Modem cable and Straight-Through cable. If FileVan consistently cannot find a connection, you are probably using the wrong cable. Any printer port (LPT 1, 2 or 3) is OK. FileVan will find which port has the cable. The correct cable is available at most local computer stores and mail order sources. Rainy City also supplies the cable for $9.95. The cable that we supply is 6 feet long.
